Zaplet Apricot Named Best Rakia at Zgrappa

Zaplet Apricot, made by Cherry Hill distillery, was named Best Rakia at Zgrappa, the international spirits festival held in Zagreb — another important recognition for the quality of Serbian fruit rakia on the international stage.

The award was decided by festival visitors, who considered the spirit’s quality, aromatic complexity, depth of flavour, balance and finish. Among producers from across the region and Europe, Zaplet Apricot received the greatest support and took the festival’s top rakia title.

The result reflects Zaplet’s guiding philosophy: exceptional quality begins with the finest fruit and is shaped by traditional distillation, modern technology, patient maturation and uncompromising care at every stage.

‘It is a great honour to have our work recognised at one of the region’s most important festivals for rakia and fruit spirits. This award belongs to the entire Cherry Hill team and to the Serbian tradition of fine fruit rakia that we are proud to preserve and represent. It inspires us to keep raising standards and to present Serbia at its very best.’

Zgrappa brings together leading producers of rakia, grappa and other fine fruit spirits. It has become an important meeting place for exchanging knowledge, championing quality and presenting innovation in the world of spirits.

For Zaplet, the award carries particular significance: it shows that the authentic flavours of Serbia can stand confidently alongside Europe’s finest spirits. Every bottle of Zaplet Apricot begins with carefully selected fruit and combines traditional knowledge with modern technology to preserve the fruit’s natural aroma and character.

The Zagreb award marks another step in Zaplet’s international journey — and further proof that quality, authenticity and patience are recognised far beyond Serbia’s borders.
